Sigrid Guillaume, an accordionist passionate about traditional dance, and Solène Riot, a tambourinaire specialized in this ancient repertoire, offer a unique sonic encounter where the writing primarily serves movement.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFrom this project arose the desire to arrange Sigrid's compositions for \u003cstrong\u003ecornet à bouquin\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eflûte tambourine\u003c\/strong\u003e. The music is designed for the dance: it supports couple dancing with singing melodic lines, a clear pulse, and a sense of rhythmic relief that encourages both listening and practice. The repertoire also opens up to new forms derived from contemporary dance events, notably the \u003cstrong\u003emazurka in 5 and 8 beats\u003c\/strong\u003e, enriching the possibilities for playing and dancing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA significant part is left to improvisation, within a freer aesthetic that can evoke jazz through the work on variations, ornaments, call-and-response between voices, and phrasing.
