ams-neve-1073lbeq-368680
1073LBEQ

A Studio Classic Adapted to the 500 Series Format
The name "1073" is inseparable from the Neve signature: an equalizer with a strong character, featured on countless major productions for decades. With the 1073LBEQ, the spirit of the 1073 equalizer becomes accessible in a single 500 series module, without complicating your signal chain: it maintains a direct, results-oriented approach while benefiting from a modern format that is easy to integrate into a lunchbox for mobile recording, studio racks, or hybrid setups.
This version is clearly aimed at those who want to add the color and musicality associated with the 1073 equalization, but in a version designed to fit quickly into a current workflow: a mono module, line-level, designed to work cleanly at the heart of a 500 series system.

Intended Uses and User Profiles
The Neve 1073LBEQ is aimed at sound engineers, demanding home studio users, and producers who want a "character" equalizer capable of enhancing a source without making it sound artificial. Its natural playground includes vocals (presence, articulation, foundation), guitars (attack, grain, definition), and acoustic instruments (balance, air, low-end control). Its solid and punchy sound suits all styles, from rock to rap, jazz to classical, from minimalist takes to dense productions.
As it is a line-level equalizer, it integrates ideally after a microphone preamp (or an interface/external preamp), on an insert bus, or as processing during tracking via your 500 series rack. It is a relevant solution for those who want to build a compact tracking chain: preamp, then musically effective equalization, all in a portable format.

Features: The 1073 Equalization in a Simple, Fast, and Studio-Friendly Version

A 3-Band EQ + High-Pass Filter Designed to Get Straight to the Point
The 1073LBEQ offers an adjustable 3-band equalization accompanied by a switchable high-pass filter depending on the source. The goal is clear: to allow you to sculpt a take in a few moves, to tighten the low end, open up the high end, organize the midrange, then clean unwanted frequencies with the high-pass filter when necessary. This "quick but musical" philosophy is precisely what many seek in a 1073-inspired equalizer: a tool that encourages decisions and enhances the source.

Electronically Balanced Line-Level Input and Output
The module operates with a line-level input feeding an electronically balanced equalization circuit. The output is also electronically balanced line level, which facilitates integration into a modern chain, whether to a converter, an external compressor, a patchbay, or a summing mixer. This approach makes the 1073LBEQ particularly relevant for setups where you want to add a reference EQ color without altering the entire studio architecture.

Integrated Insert and Visual Indicators for Daily Work
Neve includes a signal presence LED to maintain immediate control during recording. The module also features an audio processing insert designed for easy insertion of an external processor into the signal flow: practical for placing, for example, a compressor between processing stages, or to organize a more flexible tracking chain within a 500 series rack. Overall, the 1073LBEQ favors studio ergonomics: efficient, clear, and suited for sessions where speed is essential without sacrificing sound quality.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Category

equalizer

EQ

3 channels

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/88870c3564446b526c163a0660646d7049608d85_AMSNEVE_1073LBEQ.jpg?v=1792634390
