ams-neve-rmx16-355664
RMX16

An 80s Legend, Reissued in Series 500 Format

Born in the era of large consoles and 24-track tape machines, the RMX16 has marked countless records with its immediately recognizable character. This Series 500 reissue preserves the original's sonic DNA while opening it up to modern configurations, from portable racks to modular studios.

For Whom and For What? From Creative Tracking to Modern Mixing

Producers, sound engineers, and musicians seeking "ready-to-mix" spaces will find here ambiances, plates, halls, and nonlinear effects capable of instantly adding color. Ideal on drums, vocals, synths, and guitars, it excels at sculpting reverberated layers that remain clear in dense mixes.

Features Designed for Musicality, Not Just Numbers

Unlike purely mathematical reverbs, each RMX16 program has been tuned and retuned by ear. The "carpet graph" tables link parameters interactively, avoiding combinations that sound "artificial" and providing access, almost everywhere, to a musically usable adjustment range.

The move to Series 500 format broadens its playground: centralized chassis power supply, direct integration into lunchboxes and API-compatible racks, simplified recall in hybrid setups. And thanks to the dedicated remote control, you unlock 9 additional programs for even more iconic textures.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Category

digital effects processor

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Typical adjustments

reverb time, pre-delay, diffusion, filtering

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/634c975227b6c5a8d0c187c0420d3f0ce34640bb_AMS_NEVE_RMX16.jpg?v=1792651660
