The WJB-CHIIPAN fits this approach with specifications overseen by Chiipan, a bassist very active on social media. The goal is clear: to offer a familiar JB-type bass, but modernized in the key areas important for starting out (comfort, consistency, reliability), all finished in a distinctive and refined Light Green Matching Headstock.

For whom and for which styles? An ideal bass for learning (and going further)

With its 33" scale length and 38 mm nut width, this 4-string primarily targets beginners and bassists seeking a more immediate feel than a classic long scale format. The slightly looser tension facilitates initial barre chords, position shifts, back-and-forth licks, and left-hand endurance during long sessions. It also suits intermediate players looking for a comfortable instrument to work on timing, pick playing, or dynamic nuances.

Regarding repertoire, its "JB" architecture makes it comfortable for pop, funk, rock, indie, R&B, or modern jazz styles: contexts where a precise attack, clear note definition, and the ability to shape tone directly via pickup volumes are appreciated.

Sound character: the JB grain, with precise response and sharp attack

The WJB-CHIIPAN adopts an Original JB Type configuration paired with simple and effective electronics: 2 volumes (one per pickup) and 1 tone. This setup is perfect for learning to "blend" pickups: neck pickup for a rounder, warmer low end; bridge pickup for more bite and definition; or both together for a versatile balance that sits easily in a mix.

The luthiery contributes to this identity: the poplar body promotes a balanced response, with present but not excessive lows and usable mids to stand out in a band. The maple neck and maple fingerboard emphasize attack and clarity, which is especially helpful when working on rhythmic precision, ghost notes, or lines that need to remain clear. The 33" scale length adds a feeling of softness and easier playability: ideal for establishing stable intonation and developing a relaxed left hand.

Finally, the stainless steel frets enhance the smoothness and clarity of attack while resisting wear better than traditional frets. Combined with the heel-less neck joint, they encourage freer playing across the entire neck, including the upper registers often neglected by
