The brand then established itself with trumpets from 1924 onwards (the "Stradivarius of the trumpet" reputation gave rise to the Bach Stradivarius name), and later with trombones starting in 1928. Later acquired by Conn-Selmer, production has maintained the founding idea: offering models designed with a true understanding of playing, attack, and sound sustain.

Continuing this tradition, the Commercial series targets musicians seeking a performance-oriented tool: more presence, a feeling of support, and a response designed to confidently reach the upper spectrum while staying true to the Bach DNA.

Who Is This Commercial Mouthpiece For?

This Bach mouthpiece is particularly suitable for intermediate to professional trumpeters looking for a responsive model capable of handling sustained playing and facilitating control in the high register. It adapts very well to contexts where the trumpet needs to "cut through the mix": big band, pop, film music, marching band, or amplified stage situations where maintaining density without forcing is desired.

For a developing musician, it can also represent an interesting option if the goal is to build endurance and accuracy in the upper range, provided the player already has a solid embouchure setup (breath support, centering, embouchure stability).

Sound and Design

The behavior of a mouthpiece lies in the details: here, the raised cup depth directs the feel toward a more direct response and easier access to the high register. The 16.31 mm cup diameter offers an effective balance between comfort, support, and precision, while the medium wide rim provides a comfortable foundation for phrase continuity and endurance.

The rim's top, slightly flatter than a standard Bach 5C, gives a more "stable" sensation on the lips, which can help secure attack and note sustain in demanding passages. Regarding airflow, the combination of grain 27 and shank 24 contributes to an interesting compromise between projection and control. Finally, the outer shape blends elements from the Standard and Mega Tone series, with increased mass that adds to a sense of solidity, support, and sonic presence.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To protect and maintain your mouthpiece, you can pair it with a trumpet mouthpiece pouch and a mouthpiece cleaning brush, two simple essentials to limit oxidation, preserve the finish, and keep a consistent playing feel over time.

Product subject to specific withdrawal rights.
