This demand for precision was later reflected in instrument manufacturing, with the arrival of the first trumpets in 1924, quickly associated with the idea of a high-end standard, followed by trombones in 1928. The brand, later under Conn-Selmer, has maintained a strong reputation: that of consistent manufacturing and a quality level expected by orchestral, conservatory, and brass band musicians.

For Which Musician and Styles?

This Bach mouthpiece is suitable both for the beginner musician seeking a reliable and easy-to-control mouthpiece, and for the intermediate level player aiming to gain precision and responsiveness. Its configuration oriented towards bright sound and quick response is particularly suited to contexts where articulation must remain clear: brass bands, wind ensembles, school orchestras, pop music, dynamic sections, and more broadly any repertoire requiring presence. The mention of small bore and shank 402 indicates a focus on certain instruments compatible with this shank size: it is recommended to verify compatibility with your instrument before purchase.

Sound and Design

With a 24.70 mm cup diameter and a medium-deep cup depth, this mouthpiece aims for a musical compromise: a rather immediate sound production, good clarity in the mid-high register, and decent endurance during sustained playing. The 5.85 mm throat contributes to the feeling of responsiveness by promoting efficient airflow and a reactive sensation under the lip. The soft outer rim provides comfortable contact, useful for long rehearsals, while helping to stabilize the embouchure support. The silver-plated finish completes the whole with a pleasant touch and a feeling of control.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

For regular maintenance, a brass mouthpiece brush and a soft cloth (suitable for silver-plated surfaces) are good complements to maintain impeccable hygiene and a clean finish after each session.

Product subject to a specific right of withdrawal: for hygiene reasons, if opened, it must be free of any signs of use to qualify for withdrawal and be eligible for refund or exchange.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Cup depth

Medium deep

Finishing

Silver

Color

Grey

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Bore

small bore

Throat

5.85 mm

Shank

402

Rim

soft outer rim

Cup diameter

24.70 mm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/d7fa4b892400a69ac1be9984bab52886d2da75bf_GW_EMB350.jpg?v=1793382189
