bach-s351-standard-1-argentee-trompette-257526
S351 Standard - 1 Silver-Plated (Trumpet)

Vincent Bach: A Historical Reference in Brass Mouthpieces

The history of Bach mouthpieces is closely linked to Vincent Bach, both a musician and mechanical engineer. After searching for a truly reliable and consistent mouthpiece, he launched his production in New York in 1918. The instruments followed, and the name "Bach Stradivarius" quickly became synonymous with exacting standards and sound quality. Even today, Bach mouthpieces are highly regarded for their manufacturing consistency and their ability to meet the expectations of musicians, from conservatories to orchestras.

For Which Musician and Styles?

This mouthpiece is intended for players with a well-trained embouchure who seek volume, presence, and a sound that easily "fills" the space. Its design favors generous projection, making it particularly suitable for contexts where sound needs to carry: orchestra, wind ensemble, brass band, as well as certain uses in pop music or symphonic repertoire when a broad tonal signature is desired. It is better suited to an intermediate to advanced musician than a complete beginner, as a deep cup often requires more air support and control to remain comfortable over time.

Sound and Design

With its deep cup, this Bach mouthpiece emphasizes a round, rich, and powerful timbre, with a sense of breadth highly appreciated when seeking a large sound volume. The 17.50 mm cup diameter contributes to a full and open tone, while the moderately narrow rim helps maintain attack precision without sacrificing flexibility in note transitions. The silver-plated finish provides comfortable glide on the lips and effective resistance to wear, a key point for an accessory used in every session.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To preserve the finish's shine and hygiene, the use of a cleaning product suitable for mouthpieces and a soft cloth is recommended. If you carry your mouthpiece outside the instrument, a mouthpiece protective case helps prevent shocks and micro-scratches.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Cup depth

Deep

Finishing

Silver

Color

Grey

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Cup diameter

17.50 mm

Shank

10

Rim shape

moderately narrow

Product subject to a specific right of withdrawal

for hygiene reasons, if the product has been opened, it must show no signs of use in order to qualify for a withdrawal and be eligible for a refund or exchange.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/574bf041d99a4524fd386d01e0a2d0d818163287_GW_351STANDARD.jpg?v=1793382176
