boss-fs5l-21615
FS5L

A benchmark foot controller for amp and pedalboard

The FS-5L is one of the most widely used switching pedals to control a guitar rig without complexity: a compact format, robust construction, and straightforward operation designed to remain reliable gig after gig. Its "latch" principle (continuous switch) makes it particularly suitable for all functions that need to stay activated until you decide to switch back: effect on/off, channel switching on an amp, activating a function on a multi-effects unit, triggering a specific mode, etc.

Another important advantage to avoid surprises when connecting: the FS-5L features a polarity switch. In practice, this allows you to adapt the switch behavior to your device's control input to achieve a coherent ON/OFF toggle and an LED that correctly indicates the selected state.

Who and in what contexts to use the FS-5L?

The BOSS FS-5L is aimed at all guitarists (beginners and professionals alike) who want to gain playing comfort by controlling a function with their foot without letting go of the neck. Live, it is the obvious ally for clean and fast changes, especially when you need to switch between verse/chorus with different gain levels or activate/deactivate an effect without bending down to the pedalboard.

In the studio, it is just as relevant: you can record smoother takes by triggering a toggle (channel, effect, assigned function) yourself at the exact moment, without relying on automation or a second person. And if you use a hybrid setup (amp + effects + multi-effects), its "standard" nature makes it a simple solution to integrate and move from one system to another.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Effects

Switch

Use

electric guitar

Format

Pedal

Color

Black

Type

Battery

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/9ebb20564475ed5bc59424308e63e2f1ba1ecc95_BOSS_FS_5L.jpg?v=1792597252
