boss-st-2-88701
ST-2

A "tower" of saturation in a compact format: the Power Stack spirit

The ST-2 Power Stack follows the tradition of BOSS compact pedals focused on efficiency: an immediately usable sound, a very wide gain range, and straightforward ergonomics. The idea is simple: to recreate the feel of highly sought-after tube amp distortion and professional stacks, without having to crank a large amp to unmanageable volumes. The ST-2 doesn't just add gain; it aims to reproduce that "muscular," dense, and lively quality that makes a riff solid and a solo cut through the mix.

With its approach centered on a SOUND control that simultaneously sculpts saturation and its texture, the ST-2 allows quick navigation between several distortion families-from thick crunch to more aggressive modern saturation-while maintaining a sense of power and projection typical of a "stack" amp.

For whom, for which styles, and in what contexts?

The BOSS ST-2 is aimed at guitarists who want a generous distortion that's simple to dial in, whether you're learning (to explore different gain textures) or already familiar with saturated sounds in a band setting. It excels particularly in styles that require a solid, thick rhythmic foundation: hard rock, alternative rock, punk, metal, stoner, and any situation where you want a drive that "fills out" the sound.

In rehearsals and on stage, it's ideal if you play through a clean channel (or a lightly crunchy channel) and want to achieve a big stack sound without multiplying pedals. In the studio or home studio, it delivers clear saturations at reasonable volume, and its EQ helps find the right place in a mix depending on the guitar (single coils brighter or humbuckers thicker).

Technical specifications are subject to change without notice.

Technical
