In this tradition, the E13 has established itself as an iconic model: announced as unchanged for over 40 years, it has accompanied musicians for decades in conservatories, music schools, and wind orchestras. Its positioning is clear: a semi-professional clarinet designed to offer sensations and demands close to higher models, while remaining accessible and robust for everyday use.

For which musician and styles?
The Buffet Crampon E13 in Bb is ideally aimed at the intermediate to advanced clarinetist who wishes to take a step forward in intonation, playing comfort, and tone quality. It suits the classical repertoire very well (studies, competitions, chamber music), but also brass bands and wind orchestras where projection and stability are decisive. For a musician already comfortable, it is an instrument made to finely work on tone production, dynamics, and homogeneity across the entire range.

Sound and design
Thanks to its grenadilla body, the E13 aims for a woody and consistent sound, with a response that remains precise in attacks and good note stability. The new bell (reference F30500EAG), inherited from the shape of the RC clarinet, is designed to provide more projection and brightness, regardless of register and dynamic. For comfort, the silver-plated keywork, natural cork tenons, and the mechanism described as smooth contribute to a homogeneous playing feel, while the adjustable thumb rest helps adapt posture and reduce fatigue during long sessions.

Recommended compatible accessories
The clarinet is delivered with a Buffet Crampon mouthpiece, a ligature, and a silver-plated mouthpiece cap, as well as a microfiber cloth : everything needed to play and maintain the instrument upon receipt. To complete daily maintenance, a Bb clarinet swab is generally essential (not mentioned here among the included accessories), especially to preserve playing
