This collective approach, carried out with constant rigor, aims at a clear objective: to rediscover and modernize the sonic elegance associated with the French tradition, while meeting current expectations for projection, intonation, and playing comfort.

Within the Courtois range, Confluence positions itself as a characterful trumpet, designed for musicians who want an expressive and stable instrument capable of adapting to today's repertoires without losing the identity of the sound.

For Which Musician and in What Styles?

This Bb trumpet is primarily aimed at advanced and professional trumpeters, especially for the classical and orchestral repertoire where the Bb key is a standard. It is also suitable for ambitious intermediate players seeking a more demanding but highly formative trumpet, provided they already have a well-developed embouchure.

Thanks to its projection and balance, it can also find its place in chamber music, pop, or studio settings when a precise attack and refined color are desired, without harshness in the upper register.

Sound and Design

The Confluence is designed to deliver a rich timbre, a clear projection, and homogeneity across registers. Its medium-large bore (11.65 mm) promotes breadth and breathability while maintaining a sense of control useful for working on intonation and dynamics.

The one-piece handmade bell (123 mm diameter) contributes to smooth sound diffusion and a beautiful continuity of color, particularly appreciated in lyrical passages and legato playing. Regarding finish, the silver plating provides a pleasant touch, a sober and professional aesthetic, and perfectly matches the high-end identity of the series.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To get the best out of your trumpet daily, you may consider valve oil, slide grease, and a maintenance kit (cleaning brushes and microfiber cloth). A trumpet stand is also practical for rehearsals and orchestra.
