From the workshop on rue Mazarine to innovations that have marked the history of brass instruments (cornets, bugles, ophicleides), the brand has built its reputation on a constant pursuit of accuracy, projection, and reliability. This T2 mouthpiece continues this heritage: a musician-oriented design serving a full sound and stable response, both in brass bands and wind orchestras.

For which musicians and playing contexts?

The Antoine Courtois T2 for bass saxhorn is suitable for both the beginner seeking a forgiving mouthpiece and the intermediate or advanced player wishing to gain sound breadth. Its very deep cup and good projection make it relevant in wind orchestras, brass bands, and sectional ensembles, where a present, round, and supporting low register is expected. It is also aimed at musicians who play for long periods: the rim profile promotes endurance and stability on attacks.

Sound and design

With its very deep cup, this mouthpiece emphasizes a full, velvety sound naturally rich in fundamentals, particularly appreciated on a bass saxhorn. The medium bore provides a useful balance between ease of blowing and sound control, helping to maintain a clear projection without hardening the timbre. The semi-round/wide rim (7.00 mm thickness) aims for comfortable contact, with a feeling of stability and better endurance management. Finally, the silver-plated finish contributes to a pleasant playing sensation and good resistance to wear.

Recommended compatible accessories

To preserve the surface condition and hygiene of your mouthpiece, adding a rigid mouthpiece case is recommended (universal size), as well as a dedicated microfiber cleaning cloth.
