dehaske-dezaire-nico-viola-position-1-cd-alto-215644
Dezaire Nico - Viola Position 1 + CD - Alto

Summary of This Method

Designed to consolidate technical foundations in the first position, this method emphasizes the four fundamental fingerings and their practical use in common keys. The goal is twofold: to develop a more confident left hand (placement, transitions, intonation) and to strengthen musical understanding through the direct connection between fingerings, key signatures, and sight-reading. By working up to three sharps or three flats, you expand your comfort zone and gain autonomy in a wide range of pieces and studies.

The course alternates technical exercises with musical application. The 38 exercises dedicated to different fingerings isolate difficulties (transitions, recurring patterns, reading reflexes) while building a stable technique. The 7 scale and triad exercises provide a clear framework to work on intonation, consistency, and listening to scale degrees, while preparing the understanding of chords and cadences. This "technique in the service of music" approach helps make daily practice more effective and motivating.

The true highlight also lies in the repertoire: 68 concert pieces designed to develop expressiveness and stylistic ease. The variety of styles encourages adaptation (articulation, phrasing, dynamics) and transforms practice into a real musical situation, ideal for preparing an audition, a lesson, or a small concert. Each piece can be performed with the audio accompaniment from the CDs or with a pianist: CD 1 and CD 2 offer demonstration and full versions, and CD 2 also includes piano scores in PDF files to facilitate rehearsals and duo work.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Publication

Methods

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Language

French

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/a5c1e3e8b40e936e88f3d0b01104d73f51528a32_9789043135979.jpg?v=1792542403
