The result: a sharper attack, enhanced lows, and a more forgiving tuning range.

Sound Characteristics

With its two 7-mil plies, the EC2 SST offers a firmer feel and a more controlled sound than a single-ply head: the attack stands out, harmonics are smoothed, and the low end gains density. The SST ring refines the sound's contour, making shells more "focused" and easier to place both live and in the studio.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Category

Tom

Diameter

18 "

Head finish

Clear

Color

Transparent

Shaping

Twin Ply

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Double-ply drumhead

2 x 7 mil

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/827808df51c8898c165ee85754da2f22f69efd5e_EVANS_EC2_SST.jpg?v=1792639242
