Published in 1895, they quickly established themselves as a reference: the Prelude sets a concentrated and intense atmosphere, while the Nocturne unfolds a singing line and refined harmonic writing, typical of Scriabin's language. These pages are as valuable for study (balance between melody and accompaniment, wrist flexibility, pedal management) as for performance, thanks to their power of color and narration.
