laney-fs2-mini-250654
FS2 Mini

A modern foot controller: Laney compactness at the service of your amp

The Laney FS2-MINI follows the logic of "plug and play" footswitches: having essential amp functions at your feet without distracting from playing. While many controllers remain bulky, Laney opts here for a mini version, easier to integrate into a modern pedalboard (or to place in front of a combo), while maintaining true switching reliability thanks to a metal chassis and switches designed to withstand repeated presses.

Who is the FS2-MINI for, and in what contexts does it make a difference?

This footswitch is aimed at any guitarist (beginner, intermediate, pro) who wants to change their sound instantly without letting go of the instrument: switching from clean to drive, activating reverb for a chorus, cutting an onboard effect for a drier verse, etc. In live settings, it secures transitions and avoids reaching for the amp; in studio, it speeds up takes by allowing switching between textures without interrupting the performance. Style-wise, it is versatile: blues, rock, metal, pop, worship, funk... whenever the amp offers two footswitchable functions, the FS2-MINI becomes a real "facilitator" for your rig.

Controls, indicators, and pedalboard integration

The FS2-MINI offers two switches to control two distinct functions via a 6.35mm stereo Jack (TRS) connection. Its mini format helps optimize space, and the detachable cable allows for neat installation (standard or custom length, depending on your setup). A 9V DC power input is provided to power the LEDs : handy on stage to check status at a glance. Note: the footswitch can also be used without power (switching remains operational), with power mainly serving the LEDs depending on how the amp handles (or not) LED power via the footswitch input.

Sound

The Laney FS2-MINI adds no coloration : it does not process the guitar signal like an effects pedal, it simply controls functions. Its impact is felt differently, very concretely: cleaner changes, better synchronized, and a more musical use of the amp's channels/effects. In short, it does not "sound" for you, but it helps you chain the right sounds at the right moment, with a more natural playing dynamic because you stay focused on your touch rather than on settings.

Technical
