Since its integration into the K.H.S group in 2003, the brand has strengthened its innovation capacity while preserving traditional craftsmanship. The Reflection series exemplifies this positioning: offering modern instruments capable of supporting the evolution of interpretation and an increasingly demanding repertoire, while leaving ample room for the musician's personality.

Who This Marimba Is For

The Majestic M850HW is primarily aimed at intermediate to professional percussionists seeking a 5-octave marimba suitable for advanced studies, exams, orchestra, and stage performance. Its range and musicality make it relevant for classical music, contemporary creation, chamber music, as well as studio or ensemble projects where attack precision and harmonic richness are essential.

Features and Innovations

Designed for regular use, the M850HW combines performance-oriented design with practical setup. The aluminum frame provides stability and durability, while the unilateral height adjustment facilitates quick adaptation to the musician's posture, an asset in both classroom and performance settings. The Reflection series emphasizes expressive response and an instrument that meets current demands for projection, nuance, and articulation, with a C2 to C5 range noted as tunable within the same span.

Sound

The rosewood bars form the core of this marimba's sonic signature. This wood is valued for its ability to offer a natural warmth and a rich harmonic spectrum, with beautiful depth in the low register and a singing presence in the high register. In performance, it delivers a clear attack, musical projection, and balanced sustain, helping to highlight phrases, rolls, and subtle dynamics.

The design featuring 9 graduations contributes to consistent response across the entire keyboard, useful for maintaining timbral homogeneity between registers.
