meinl-bbp14-backbeat-pro-tambourin-sur-caisse-claire-14-259583
BBP14 - BACKBEAT PRO TAMBOURINES 14

Historical Context and Positioning in the Range

The Backbeat Pro follows the tradition of snare drum accessories designed to enrich the sound without complicating the setup. MEINL offers here a performance-oriented version, with a blackened brass ring inspired by its cymbal alloys, to achieve a more "musical" response and behavior consistent with the brand's sonic aesthetic.

Who This Tambourine Is For

This tambourine is intended for beginner to advanced drummers who want to quickly integrate a tambourine-type percussive color into their snare drum playing. It is particularly effective in pop, rock, funk, indie, reggae, acoustic music, and worship, wherever bright accents, more danceable grooves, or a jingle texture above the backbeat are desired without multiplying instruments on stage.

Features and Innovations

The concept is simple and effective: the ring fits on a 14-inch snare drum and adds cymbals that respond to every hit, ghost note, or rimshot. The design providing 360-degree contact helps maintain a stable playing feel, with finer control of vibrations according to your dynamics. The raised edge is a real plus for those who often use rimshots, enhancing the attack and clarity of the stroke while preserving the tambourine effect.

Sound

With its eight pairs of solid brass jingles, the Backbeat Pro delivers a clear and present jingle, with a bright spectrum, ideal for highlighting rhythm in a mix. Brass generally provides a bright, crisp sound and quick response, resulting in a very "tambourine-like" effect on snare hits.

The blackened brass ring, made from an alloy identical to MEINL cymbals, contributes to a more homogeneous feel and controlled resonance. The result: a musical texture addition with sufficient projection for the stage and good articulation in the studio, especially when playing dynamics or tight patterns.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Dimensions

14 inches

Color

Brass - Black

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/0eb6d5f99ce23c37b6ebe559a6fd7a5f4c4d895f_PERCU_BBP13.jpg?v=1792639378
