orange-amps-fs-2-155981
FS-2

A "classic" guitar rig tool, designed for Orange amps

In a guitar setup centered around an amp, the footswitch is the accessory that transforms a good sound into a usable sound in real conditions: one press, and you switch from clean to drive, or add reverb to widen a passage. The MCFS-2 fits this logic with a simple and effective approach, especially suited for Orange amps offering channel switching and foot-activated reverb.

Its usefulness is obvious on stage and in rehearsal: you stay focused on playing without having to reach for the front panel controls. And since it's designed for direct use, it easily fits next to a pedalboard or alone on the floor in a "guitar-cable-amp" setup.

Who the MCFS-2 is for: from rehearsal musicians to live performers

The MCFS-2 is aimed at any guitarist who uses the clean and overdrive channels of their amp or wants to activate/deactivate the reverb depending on the song. It's a relevant choice if you play rock, blues, punk, or hard rock and your dynamics rely on quick changes between rhythm and lead.

In the studio, it helps maintain a clean recording flow: you switch channels without noisy handling or unnecessary movement. Live, it quickly becomes indispensable whenever your arrangements include drier verses and wider choruses, or solos requiring a dedicated channel.

Features and setup: simple, fast, effective

This footswitch is a 2-channel model designed to control two distinct functions, typically channel switching and reverb on compatible Orange amps. Connection is made via two 6.35mm Jack cables (sold separately): this is an important point to anticipate if you're preparing a pedalboard or stage wiring.

Its operation is intentionally straightforward: place it, plug it in, play. In many cases, it can also work with amps from other brands, provided they accept footswitch control via 6.35mm Jack and have compatible switching logic. For predictable use, it's best paired with an amp whose footswitch inputs are designed for channel and reverb on two separate lines.

Sound

A footswitch like the MCFS-2 is not intended to "color" the sound: it does not enter the audio chain like an effects pedal. Its role is to trigger amp functions reliably so your sound remains that of your amp, but at the right moment.

Practically, it improves the playing experience: cleaner transitions, sharper changes, and more musical reverb control (for example, cutting reverb for precise palm-mutes, then reactivating it for open parts). It's a control gain that affects both dynamics and band tightness.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Effects

Remote Control

Use

electric guitar

Format

Pedal

Color

White

Number of tracks

2

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/e732df17d53abdb48ccf1bed222a37eaadc90533_HTD_ORA_MCFS_2.jpg?v=1792561674
