This Airframe 2 version builds on the one-piece frame concept and optimizes it through reshaped contact areas to better distribute the load and support typical movements of parade formations, marching bands, and drum corps.

Who This Drum/Bass Drum Carrier Is For

This bass drum carrier is intended for marching drummers and percussionists seeking a reliable harness for long rehearsals, outdoor performances, and choreographed movements. It suits both intermediate and advanced musicians, especially in contexts where endurance, posture, and playing consistency are essential. Ideal for styles and ensembles focused on rhythmic precision and visual impact: marching band, drumline, fanfare, and parade.

Features and Innovations

The CX Airframe 2 system is designed to maximize comfort without sacrificing durability. It incorporates reshaped shoulder and chest Airframe sections to promote range of motion and better fit, along with a ventral plate that is both lightweight and adjustable. The ACS belt (Agility Control System) helps lower the center of gravity to reduce back strain and improve stability while marching. The setup is completed by the CX mounting hardware, designed for precise adjustments and efficient installation.

Sound

A bass drum carrier does not directly affect the intrinsic sound of the shell, but it plays a crucial role in projection and attack consistency during marching. By stabilizing the instrument and improving posture, the CXB-2 Airframe 2 helps maintain a constant playing angle, which promotes more even striking, better dynamic articulation, and a clearer overall impact. The increased comfort also helps sustain energy over time, a key factor in maintaining a strong sound presence during long performances.

Technical
