By removing the central strands, PureSound offers an alternative to classic snares for drummers seeking a more controlled, drier sound that is less prone to buzzing.

Target Audience for This Drum/Snare Wire

This snare wire is aimed at beginner to advanced drummers who want greater clarity without sacrificing the character of their snare drum. It is particularly suited for styles where precision is essential, such as rock, pop, funk, studio work, and any live situations where sympathetic vibrations caused by the bass drum, toms, or nearby instruments need to be minimized.

Features and Innovations

The offset Equalizer design alters the snare wire's behavior by reducing the central contact area, which is often responsible for some of the resonances and buzz. The result: a snare drum that responds quickly, with a cleaner snare sound, while allowing more space for the shell's voice and its natural projection.

Sound Characteristics

Thanks to its steel construction, this snare wire delivers a sharp attack and pronounced definition, ideal for clear ghost notes and cracking rimshots. The removal of the central strands promotes a drier and more focused sound: the snare wire emphasizes the stroke without overwhelming the shell's sustain, helping the snare drum remain stable and intelligible even in highly resonant setups.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/3fa04a5c418371e1fca2b52a107c84c0eec96691_EVANS_E1412.jpg?v=1792609548
