This gold-finished version clearly targets configurations where aesthetics matter as much as reliability, whether to restore a drum set, harmonize a kit, or add a more "high-end" touch to a setup.

Intended Users

This lug is aimed at drummers and technicians of all levels, from beginners repairing a snare drum to custom enthusiasts fine-tuning every detail of their kit. It suits all styles, from rock to jazz, whenever you seek a clean, stable mounting compatible with commonly used tension rods.

Features and Innovations

With its two attachment points and precise center-to-center spacing, this lug allows for neat alignment of tension rods and even tensioning of drumheads. The M4 mounting and 8 mm drilling simplify installation, while the rubber isolator helps maintain controlled contact between the lug and the shell. Mounting screws are not included, allowing you to select the length best suited to your shell thickness.

Sound Characteristics

A lug does not "add" sound like a shell wood does, but it influences the drum's response through vibration transmission. The supplied rubber isolator helps limit certain mechanical resonances and can contribute to a cleaner shell with fewer unwanted noises, especially at high volume. The brass plating emphasizes durability and aesthetics while maintaining stable clamping for reliable tuning retention.

Technical specifications

<colgroup><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"><col style="width:25%"></colgroup>

Type

tube lug

Mounting screw type

M4

Application

snare drum and tom

Tension rod threading

standard #12-24 (7/32 inch diameter)

Attachment

two tension rod mounting points

Finish

gold (brass plating)

Center-to-center spacing

38 mm

Mounting screws

not included

Drill hole diameter

8 mm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0984/0872/6803/files/4f5ff5d3777cc2eaeeb7b411b2c6371cf9968f8d_SD_TL13D38_BR.jpg?v=1792533712
