The goal is clear: to offer a set capable of covering a wide range of uses, while maintaining a warm sound identity, along with the clarity and brilliance needed in ensemble playing.

For which cellist and styles?

This Versum Medium set is particularly aimed at intermediate to advanced cellists seeking a reliable string for both rehearsal and concert, and an expressive palette that is easy to exploit. Its balanced profile is very suitable for the classical repertoire (section sound, chamber music, concerto), while remaining relevant for aesthetics that require a centered sound and controlled projection.

Sound characteristics

The Versum strings emphasize a sound balance with warm and soft colors, complemented by a radiant brilliance that helps the cello "speak" within the mix of a quartet or orchestra. The high register is described as powerful with a focused sound, useful for maintaining definition in exposed passages and fast runs.
