The Profile 88 shape modifies the chin rest angle, while the Lyre designation provides a more open feel than the 5RV, paired with a longer facing to promote ease and articulation precision.

For Which Clarinetist?

This Bb clarinet mouthpiece is aimed at intermediate to advanced players seeking reliable sound production and clear articulation. Its " jazz " character suits contemporary music and wind orchestra very well, while remaining quite versatile depending on the choice of reed and ligature.

Sound, Playing Feel, and Design

The tip opening (1.09 mm) and medium facing aim for a musical compromise: good projection, homogeneous register, and a sense of control. The Profile 88 design can provide a more natural support under the lip, useful for stabilizing sound and articulation. The ebonite contributes to a consistent response and a homogeneous tone, with a refined finish.

Recommended Compatible
