Discover the Woodbrass Paris Guitar Repair Service

He restores, repairs, maintains, and takes care of all plucked string instruments… Step into 182 avenue Jean-Jaurès in Paris’s 19th arrondissement with your four- or six-string and you’ll likely meet Julien, head of the Woodbrass Paris guitar repair workshop. A trained cabinetmaker, Julien nurtures a love of wood and a passion for his craft as a luthier.
In his workshop at the Woodbrass Store in Paris, he sees guitars, basses, banjos, cavaquinhos, and mandolas come through his hands daily—sometimes just needing a setup, other times arriving in poor condition due to a lack of regular maintenance. After receiving expert care, the instrument is restored and returned to its owner a few days later. The Woodbrass team asked him a few questions about his daily work with instruments and this repair service, offered for several years now to both Parisian musicians and visitors.

How much does it cost?

For a setup including thorough cleaning (varnish, frets), fingerboard care, hardware inspection, neck relief adjustment, string height, octave intonation, and string installation, the cost (VAT included) depends on the guitar type:

  • €70 for an electric guitar or electric bass
  • €60 for an acoustic guitar or acoustic bass
  • €50 for a classical guitar
