This violin method brings together a selection of essential works from the pedagogical repertoire, designed to guide the student through a coherent musical progression. Notably included are two "Lullaby (Tonalization)" pieces by F. Schubert and J. Brahms, perfect for approaching phrasing, tone quality, and bow control at a calm and controlled tempo.
The collection also emphasizes concerto style work with several movements by Friedrich Seitz: Concerto No. 2 in G Major, Op. 13 (3rd Movement), as well as Concerto No. 5 in D Major, Op. 22 (1st Movement) and (3rd Movement). These pieces are particularly suited to strengthening rhythmic regularity, playing energy, and precision in string crossings.
