Is the Arturia AudioFuse X8 IN compatible with an ADAT interface?
Both ADAT optical outputs transmit the 8 line inputs to an interface equipped with ADAT inputs. SMUX support allows operation up to 96 kHz by distributing the channels across the ADAT streams.
How many synths can be connected to this expansion unit?
Eight line-level sources can be connected via the balanced 6.3 mm jack inputs. Two units can be mounted side by side to reach 16 line inputs in a 1U rack space.
Can the expansion be synchronized with an external clock?
A Word Clock input in BNC format ensures locking to an external clock. This synchronization stabilizes the digital stream between the expansion and the rest of the setup. The AKM A/D conversion is performed at 24 bits up to 96 kHz.
