A Modern Heir to the ME Series, Inspired by BOSS's High-End
The ME series has been a BOSS staple for over 30 years: the concept is simple, combining the versatility of a guitar multi-effects with the immediate ergonomics of a pedalboard. The ME-90 takes this further with AIRD amp models derived from the GT-1000's DNA, IR integration, and an effects loop for better integration into modern setups (amp, direct PA, home studio).

The BOSS ME-90 is designed for both beginner guitarists who want coherent sounds without spending hours programming, and experienced musicians seeking a compact, reliable, and quick-to-adjust pedalboard. It easily covers blues, rock, pop, funk, modern metal, as well as more ambient textures through modulations, delays, and reverbs. On stage, the rear switch optimizes the output for a guitar amp or a full-range system (FRFR/PA). In the studio, USB-C simplifies recording and audio playback with a workstation.

Can the Boss ME-90 be connected directly to a PA system or a guitar amp?
The rear switch Gt. AMP/LINE adjusts the output for a guitar amplifier or a full-range system such as a PA. The OUTPUT L/MONO and R outputs are 6.35 mm jack format.
How many sounds and effects are available?
The memory includes 36 user patches and 36 preset patches. The manufacturer specifies 97 types of effects and 11 built-in AIRD amplifier models.
Can impulse responses be loaded into this pedalboard?
Three slots are provided for user IRs. The speaker simulations can thus be adapted for live playing or recording.
Does the ME-90 work like a pedalboard?
In Manual mode, the effect sections are controlled individually by footswitches, like a pedalboard. Memory mode allows recalling complete patches. Eight multifunction footswitches and an expression pedal with footswitch provide real-time control.
What USB connectivity and effects loop does this multi-effects pedal offer?
The USB Type-C handles communication and serves as an audio interface for recording and playback with a workstation. A SEND/RETURN loop on 6.35 mm jacks allows integration of external pedals into the routing.
