The collection offers 3 major rock kits (DW, Gretsch, Ludwig) recorded in studio, enhanced by 6 additional snares. Thanks to LIVE technology, repetition samples, and extreme dynamics, the grooves retain the attack, variation, and power expected from a real rock drummer.
Custom Kits and Mic Positioning Control
You can create a hybrid kit by selecting any element from any kit. The multiple mic positions (close + room, or close + compressed room) allow you to balance the piece, switch from a tight and percussive sound to a wide and epic drum sound, and instantly adapt the output to the style (alt rock, hard rock, metal, pop rock).
Electric Guitars: Realistic Techniques and Dual Recording
The guitars were recorded on reference instruments (Fender Jaguar, Fender Telecaster Thinline, Carvin 7 String, Baritone, Gibson Les Paul, Schecter 7 String) through iconic amps (Fender, Divided By Thirteen, Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Bogner, Vox). The included samples feature round robin, hammer-on / pull-off legato, sliding legato, and many other articulations. The dual-channel recordings let you choose a realistic amp sound or use the direct signal with your favorite plugins.
Basses: From Remastered to the New 5-String
Ministry Of Rock 2 includes the remastered content from Hardcore Bass and Hardcore Bass XP, as well as a brand new 5-string Musicman Stingray with 7000 samples and true legato. Several basses (Fender, Hofner, Gibson, Silvertone, Rickenbacker, Musicman, Lakland) were captured through large bass rigs for a present, dense, and immediately mixable sound, without a "dry" or thin output.
