Designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Stratocaster, this Custom Shop creation incorporates the founding elements of 1954: lightweight two-piece ash body, one-piece quartersawn maple neck, single-ply pickguard, and period-correct electronics. The nitrocellulose lacquer "Wide-Fade 2-Tone Sunburst" finish with NOS treatment reproduces the look of the earliest models while benefiting from the precise contemporary assembly of the Corona workshop.

The two-piece ash body offers singing highs, silky mids, and firm lows, while the one-piece quartersawn maple neck enhances attack and sustain. The Custom Shop '54 single-coil pickups deliver a crystalline and airy tone with the typical "glassy chime" and naturally scooped intermediate positions. Vintage '54 wiring (waxed paper capacitor) and 250K 10% taper potentiometers maintain great harmonic openness. The vintage synchronized tremolo, paired with .010-.046 strings, provides smooth, precise, and musical vibrato.
