A Reimagined Jazzmaster Within the American Acoustasonic Series

The American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is part of Fender's innovation approach around "plug-and-play" formats capable of covering multiple styles without changing instruments. With its hollow body inspired by the Jazzmaster (the largest format in the series), it aims for a broad acoustic response and modern stage behavior thanks to the Acoustic Engine developed with Fishman, as well as the SIRS (Stringed Instrument Resonance System) designed to enhance resonance feel and tonal coherence.

For Which Guitarists and Styles

This Fender targets intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a unique guitar for recording and live performance, with a palette covering pop, rock, indie, folk, funk rhythm playing, and fingerstyle. It is also well suited for singer-songwriters looking for credible acoustic sounds while retaining an "electric" attack and presence for more energetic passages.

Sound

Its solid Sitka spruce top provides clarity, definition, and projection, while the mahogany (back, sides, and body) enhances midrange warmth and bass roundness, particularly appreciated on this large "Modified Jazzmaster" format. The ebony fingerboard adds a precise feel under the fingers and a sharp attack. On the amplification side, the Piezo under the bridge emphasizes articulation and acoustic character, the internal sensor adds air and depth, and the magnetic Shawbucker delivers a more incisive humbucker-like tone. The "Blend/Mod" knob allows fine-tuning of the voice mix and quick switching from detailed acoustic tone to a more electric rhythm, with remarkable sustain and coherence for a hollow-body guitar.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original feel and sound balance, you can stick with phosphor bronze .011-.052 strings (such as the mentioned Fender Dura-Tone 860CL). Charging is via micro USB: a standard micro USB cable and a USB power supply with 5V DC / 1,000 mA meet the specified requirements.
