American Ultra II: The Stratocaster Designed for Stage and Studio

The American Ultra II series embodies Fender's vision of a thoroughly modern Stratocaster: meticulous finishes, optimized ergonomics, and advanced electronics. This Ultraburst version, featuring an ebony fingerboard and HSS configuration, targets guitarists who want to retain the Strat DNA while gaining power, noise-free operation, and sonic flexibility.

Who Is It For, and What Styles?

This Strat is ideal for intermediate to expert guitarists seeking an all-around instrument for rehearsals, studio, and touring. The HSS setup covers rock, pop, funk, modern blues, and heavier genres (hard rock) thanks to the humbucker, while preserving typical Strat intermediate positions for crisp rhythms and defined cleans.

Sound

The selected alder body delivers a classic Fender balance: clear lows, present mids, and articulate highs, perfect for sitting well in a mix. The two Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat pickups provide the expected Strat attack and bite, with the advantage of hum reduction-very appreciated in the studio or with pedals. At the bridge, the Haymaker humbucker adds output and thickness for riffs, singing leads, and modern distortion. The S-1 switch on the volume knob also allows splitting the humbucker to access thinner, sharper textures close to single-coil tones. The 2-point synchronized tremolo, combined with the cold-rolled steel block and stainless steel saddles, ensures good tuning stability and precise response.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Delivered with a Deluxe Molded Case, this guitar is ready to travel. To maintain original feel, you can use Fender USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel strings in .009-.042 (part number PN 0730250403). The 1/8 Hex (Allen) truss rod wrench is recommended for neck relief adjustments.
