A Modern Telecaster, Continuing a Fender Classic
The Telecaster is one of the cornerstones of Fender history: a straightforward, responsive guitar with an instantly recognizable sound. The American Professional II continues this tradition by preserving the "Tele" DNA (simplicity, dynamics, sharpness), while bringing very tangible improvements for today's guitarists: neck ergonomics, upper fret access, versatile wiring, and optimized bridge. The result: a familiar Tele from the first touch, but clearly designed for intensive use.
Who Is It For, and What Styles?
This Fender American Professional II Telecaster is aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a reliable, precise, and expressive electric guitar, equally comfortable in rehearsals, studios, or on stage. It excels in rock, country, blues, pop, funk, and indie, thanks to its high sensitivity to right-hand attack and its balance of snap, definition, and presence in the mix.
The Sound
With its SS configuration (two single-coils), this Tele delivers the famous blend of twang, snap, and dynamics that made it renowned. The V-Mod II pickups, adjusted according to their position (neck/bridge), offer a vintage-inspired sound but with more note-to-note precision and better string balance. The electronics add two major advantages: the Treble Bleed preserves highs when lowering the volume (ideal for cleaning up the tone without losing presence), and the push-push activates a series mode for a thicker, more powerful output, perfect for choruses that need to "cut through" or solos without changing amps.
The roasted pine body provides a lively response and good resonance, while the Top-Load/String-Through bridge allows you to adjust the feel: top-loading for a looser sensation, or string-through-body for more sustain and attack, depending on your touch and string gauge.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay true to the original spirit and feel, favor a set of 009-042 electric strings (same gauge as supplied). For stage and studio, a good quality 6.35 mm instrument jack cable and a selection of picks (from soft to stiff) will fully exploit the very sensitive dynamics of the single-coils.

Questions frequently asked
What sound do the V-Mod II pickups on this Telecaster deliver?
The two V-Mod II single-coil pickups provide a crisp and dynamic sound, with precise string-to-string definition. The 3-way switch allows access to the bridge pickup, both pickups, or the neck pickup.
Does the series mode on the Fender Telecaster American Professional II add more power?
The push-push tone knob activates a series wiring of the two pickups. This position produces a fuller and more powerful tone than the usual switch settings.
Can the strings be mounted in two ways on the bridge?
The Tele bridge with 3 compensated brass saddles supports either Top-Load or String-Through-Body mounting. Passing strings through the top offers a looser feel, while string-through-body increases sustain and attack. The factory-installed strings are Fender USA 250L in .009-.042 gauge.
What are the neck and fingerboard dimensions?
The maple neck has a Deep "C" profile, a scale length of 647.7 mm, and a bone nut width of 42.8 mm. The maple fingerboard features a 241 mm radius and 22 narrow-tall frets.
Is a case included with this Telecaster?
A deluxe molded case is included with the instrument.
