Acoustasonic Player Telecaster: The Tele Spirit, Fender Modernity
With the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster, Fender revisits an iconic design oriented towards versatility. The "Modified" Telecaster format retains the familiar feel while adopting a hollow body construction and technologies dedicated to acoustic amplification. The patented SIRS (Stringed Instrument Resonance System) and performance-oriented electronics make it an instrument tailored for today's musicians, manufactured in Mexico at the Ensenada factory.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
This Acoustasonic is especially aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a unique instrument to switch seamlessly between acoustic rhythm, wide arpeggios, and more electric parts without multiplying guitars on stage. It suits pop, folk, rock, indie, worship genres and voice-guitar accompaniment very well, while remaining relevant for home studios thanks to its mix-ready sounds.
Sound
The solid Sitka spruce top provides attack, clarity, and projection, while the mahogany body/back/sides enhances warmth and roundness. The hollow Telecaster body combined with transverse bracing delivers a resonant, dynamic, and enjoyable instrument with a good balance between definition and sustain. On the amplification side, the Fishman under-saddle transducer prioritizes precision and articulation of acoustic tones, while the Noiseless offers a Fender electric grain without hum. The "Blend" knob opens up very musical hybrid textures, from more acoustic to more electric, while staying coherent in a mix.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To maintain the original feel and balance, you can stick with a .011-.052 gauge phosphor bronze set, like the Fender Dura-Tone 860CL strings installed at the factory. The guitar comes with a Deluxe 1225 gig bag, ideal for daily transport.
