A Cult Fuzz from 1969, Revisited in the FX Teacher Spirit

The Full Story follows the lineage of the "massive" disto-fuzzes that appeared in the United States in the late 1960s, becoming a reference for thick, saturated, and singing tones. This character has endured through decades and has been found in both vintage and modern contexts, from rock to fuzz leads, including more alternative textures.

Within the FX Teacher range, the idea is to offer a deliberately accessible version in terms of handling, while maintaining a huge playground for exploration. The Full Story is available as a build-it-yourself kit (to understand and learn) or as a pre-assembled version, both sharing the same sonic DNA: a classic, but adaptable to your setup, guitar, and amp.

Who Is It For? From Garage Riffs to a Wall of Guitars, Without Losing Control

The Anasounds Full Story is aimed at guitarists who want an expressive fuzz capable of moving from crunchy saturation to dense and generous disto-fuzz. If you play with a pick and like to feel the pedal respond to your attack, you will appreciate how it "fattens" the sound while maintaining a real sense of dynamics.

Style-wise, it naturally fits in blues-rock (thick but musical fuzz), rock and garage (raw grain, easy sustain), stoner (full low-mids), but also in alternative contexts where a broad and striking texture is sought. Live, it is ideal for thickening a power trio or launching a solo; in the studio, it allows stacking guitar layers with that "big screen" feel.

Controls, Switches, and Customization: Simple on the Pedal, Sophisticated Under the Hood

The Full Story keeps it essential with three main controls: Fuzz for saturation amount, Tone to shape the bass/treble balance, and Out to adjust output level (even pushing an amp's input if needed). This "plug and play" approach allows quickly finding an inspiring sound, even on a crowded pedalboard.

Where it becomes formidable is with its two switches. The Mid switch changes the voicing: one position with a scooped character (perfect for the "wall of sound" vibe), one position emphasizing more mids to better cut through a mix, and a custom position allowing further extension via an internal component choice. The Clip switch affects clipping: you can stay in the spirit of 1N914-type diodes, move toward a more open saturation (no clipping) for a more natural overdrive, or explore a custom option with your own diodes via the internal terminal block.

Add to that the Tone Cards compatibility: by changing this mini circuit card, you profoundly modify the pedal's personality. The result: you have several families of sounds, then multiple variations at your feet, even before diving into internal settings. A fuzz that can remain simple... or become a true sonic laboratory.

The Sound

The Full Story is first and foremost a broad, dense, and sustainy fuzz, with that "block" saturation feeling that instantly transforms a riff into a wall of guitar. Depending on the Tone setting, you can keep a very wide breadth (ideal for chords) or narrow the spectrum for more incisive leads. The Mid switch is particularly useful to adapt the pedal to your context: scooped for the big sound, boosted mids to cut through drums and bass without excessively raising volume.

The playing response is typical of great disto-fuzzes: attack more or less compressed depending on chosen clipping, a "singing" sensation on sustained notes, and a harmonic color that makes you want to play differently. This is precisely the type of grain associated with artists and worlds as diverse as Pink Floyd, The White Stripes, Muse, Dinosaur Jr., The Black Keys, or King Crimson: a fuzz capable of being huge, expressive, and surprisingly adaptable.
