A Redesigned Les Paul Studio: The "Studio Tool" Spirit, Modernized

The Les Paul Studio has established itself as an obvious choice for those seeking the Les Paul DNA (set neck, humbuckers, mahogany/maple combination) in a more straightforward format focused on musical efficiency. This Les Paul Studio Session follows this logic while going further: improved ergonomics, wood selection enhanced by a carved AA figured maple top, and especially electronics designed to cover a wide range of situations, from studio recording to stage performance. The Cherry finish and cream plastics add an elegant vintage touch without excessive decoration.

Who Is It For, and Which Styles?

This Les Paul targets the intermediate to advanced guitarist looking for a "main" electric guitar capable of handling nearly all genres. The SlimTaper neck profile promotes fast and precise playing, whether in tight rhythm or lead. Thanks to the coil split, phase, and bypass options, it naturally transitions from rock and hard rock to blues, pop, funk (clearer, snappier sounds in split mode), and studio contexts where varying textures without changing instruments is essential.

The Sound

The acoustic foundation is typically Les Paul: a mahogany body that provides density, mid-low frequencies, and sustain, complemented by a carved maple top that adds brightness, attack, and definition in the upper spectrum. The set mahogany neck enhances vibration transfer between neck and body, resulting in a "solid" feel, generous sustain, and a very musical response on sustained notes.
Regarding pickups, the '57 Classic in the neck position favors round lows, singing mids, and a vintage grain perfect for smooth leads, rich chords, and thick clean tones. The '57 Classic Plus at the bridge pushes the output level slightly higher for more presence and bite, ideal for riffs, solos that cut through the mix, and more aggressive rhythms. The push/pull controls multiply possibilities: the coil tap (split) delivers airier, sharper tones; the phase offers more hollow and expressive colors in the middle position; and the Pure Bypass routes the bridge pickup directly to the output for immediate attack and an ultra-direct signal path.
