This Gretsch is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a premium semi-hollow that is pick-responsive and expressive with vibrato. It excels in rockabilly, country, blues, pop, indie, and classic rock. Its short scale facilitates bends and phrasing, while the double cutaway encourages playing in the upper registers.

The Sound

The laminated maple body (arched top and back) delivers a clear attack, structured projection, and that typically bright Gretsch sparkle. The Channel Core Center Block (maple and spruce) tightens the low end, reinforces the mids, and improves control at high volume, resulting in a more composed semi-hollow with a pushed amp.
The TV Jones TV Classic (neck) and TV Classic Plus (bridge) pickups provide detailed chords, rich harmonics, and very musical dynamics: firm lows, bright highs, and an articulated crunch as soon as you dig in. On the control side, the treble bleed on the master volume helps maintain clarity when rolling down the volume, and the no-load master tone (with "Squeezebox" capacitor) allows the top end to open fully when disengaged.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original feel, a .010-.046 electric string set (nickel-plated steel) is perfectly suited. A standard guitar strap will fit the installed strap buttons. The included Gretsch G6267 deluxe hardshell case already provides premium protection for transport.
