Platinum Collection: the top of the Advanced Acoustic series
Within the Advanced Acoustic range, the Platinum Collection emphasizes demanding lutherie choices, contemporary ergonomics, and premium finishes. The AAM740E-LG was designed as a stage and studio electro-acoustic guitar, capable of covering very subtle nuances while maintaining a strong and "woody" acoustic identity.
For which guitarists and styles?
This Advanced Auditorium targets intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a precise, comfortable, and expressive acoustic guitar. The 25" / 634 mm scale length offers a smooth feel, while the 1.7" / 43 mm nut width balances chord comfort and fingerstyle articulation. It excels in fingerstyle, modern folk, pop, blues, vocal accompaniment, and percussive playing, with a real advantage when exploiting the upper registers thanks to the cutaway.
Sound
With its 100% solid African mahogany construction, the AAM740E-LG favors a dense midrange, clear highs, and firm lows, ideal for standing out in a mix without losing its organic character. The X-M bracing enhances responsiveness and note sustain, while the A.I.R. port improves the player's feedback sensation and expands dynamics. The bone nuts and Macassar ebony scalloped bridge promote a crisp attack and clean sustain. Plugged in, the combination of T-bar under nut (definition) + Contact pickup (body and percussiveness) delivers a more "microphone-like" and less artificial sound, with separate controls and a Mono/Stereo output designed for advanced setups.
Recommended compatible accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original feel, choose a set of phosphor bronze strings 12-53 (gauges .012/.016/.024/.032/.042/.053). Also plan for a quality 9V battery for the electronics and a clip-on tuner for 6-string acoustic guitar, handy both in rehearsal and on stage.
