It feels particularly at home in jazz, blues, country, soul, and classic rock; at very high gain levels, the hollow body can become more prone to feedback (normal behavior for this format).

Sound

With its body entirely made of linden (top, back, and sides), the AF55 favors a balanced response and a clear attack, while the hollow body construction adds air, grain, and a nice roundness in the midrange. The Nyatoh neck reinforces the mid-low register and contributes to a "full" feel under the fingers, and the walnut fingerboard helps maintain a homogeneous spectrum from bass to treble. On the amplification side, the two Infinity R humbuckers (passive, ceramic) provide a tight and defined output: neck position delivers a velvety tone ideal for jazz chords; bridge position offers more attack and bite; the middle position blends both for a rich and versatile sound. The combination of the VT06 tailpiece and Gibraltar Performer bridge promotes generous sustain and good tuning stability.
