The Ibanez Artcore AF75 is aimed both at motivated beginners who want a true hollow body and at intermediate and advanced players looking for an inspiring instrument for chordal playing, walking bass lines, and melodic lines. It excels in jazz, blues, vintage rock, and country. Like any hollow body, it can become more sensitive to feedback at very high volume or with a lot of gain, making it ideal for warm, organic, and nuanced sounds.

The sound

With its hollow body construction and linden wood (top, back, and sides), the AF75 offers a round and balanced tone, with a soft attack and beautiful natural acoustic resonance. The Nyatoh neck enhances the mid-low register, while the walnut fingerboard provides a balanced tonal response from low to high. On the amplification side, the two Classic Elite humbuckers deliver a rich, nuanced sound with "fat" lows and comfortable sustain, supported by the combination of Gibraltar Performer bridge + VT60 tailpiece. Independent controls (2 volumes, 2 tones) and the 3-position selector allow easy switching from a smooth neck pickup sound to a more precise bridge pickup tone, or blending both for more complex textures.
