The RG8570, the j.custom Spirit Dedicated to Performance
Born from the j.custom lineage, the RG8570 concentrates the best of Ibanez craftsmanship: rigorous wood selection, meticulous assembly, and luxury finishes. It features the legendary RG ergonomics, optimized by the "All Access" neck joint that fully frees access up to the 24th fret, both on stage and in the studio.
Intended Use and Player Profile
Designed for demanding guitarists (intermediate to expert), the RG8570 excels in modern rock, metal, shred, fusion, and prog. Its rock-solid tuning stability and very fast neck make it a reliable ally for technical solos, precise rhythms, and recordings requiring clean, controlled tones.
Sound Characteristics
The combination of African Mahogany + Flamed Maple delivers a rich midrange, sculpted highs, and long sustain. The Macassar Ebony Fingerboard adds attack, clarity, and transient definition. The DiMarzio Air Norton (neck) provides warmth and precision, the True Velvet (middle) offers airy vintage cleans, and The Tone Zone (bridge) delivers a thick, dynamic, and singing drive. The 5-position selector covers full humbuckers, combined single coils, and internal splits, with 1 Volume / 1 Tone for instant adjustments.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Delivered with a hard case, the RG8570 accepts 9-42 gauge strings like the D'Addario EXL120 (factory setup) without adjustment. For lightweight transport, the Ibanez IGB724-BK gig bag fits the RG format. Use the Gotoh strap locks with a strap equipped with compatible locking ends, and use a high-quality 6.35 mm jack cable, straight or angled.
