What is iZotope Neoverb For?
iZotope Neoverb is a reverb plug-in designed to speed up mixing decisions and achieve credible depth, whether you work in a home studio, modern music production, or light post-production. It helps you place a vocal, snare drum, guitars, synths, or acoustic instruments in a coherent space while limiting the veil effect often caused by overly present reverb. The goal is simple: create size and emotion without sacrificing intelligibility.
Main Features
Algorithms from a Reverb Reference
Neoverb relies on Exponential Audio's reverb algorithms, renowned for their natural sound and high-quality room simulations. Whether you seek a subtle ambiance, a realistic room, a denser plate, or a wide and immersive tail, the response remains clean, stable, and musical, even when the mix gets busy.
Reverb Assistant: A Relevant Starting Point in Context
The Reverb Assistant guides your settings in 4 steps and offers a start adapted to your source and intention. Rather than adjusting a reverb in solo, you move faster with a mix-oriented approach: fewer hesitations, more coherence, and a significant time-saving on sessions with many tracks.
Blend Pad: Clear and Creative Mixing of 3 Reverbs
The Blend Pad allows combining three reverb algorithms within the same patch to achieve a complex and controlled space (for example, a short base for proximity, a more diffuse layer for width, and a longer tail for depth). Everything remains easy to control, ideal for quickly shifting from an intimate ambiance to a more cinematic setting.
EQ and Anti-Masking: More Space for the Source
The equalization section offers functions designed for clarity: Unmask to reduce frequency conflicts, AutoCut to limit problematic areas, and a Masking Meter to visualize masking. This section is compatible with Neutron 3, Nectar 3, VocalSynth 2, and Relay, to better integrate the reverb around the source and prevent the tail from blurring the musical message.
Fine Control, Modulation, and Controlled Dynamics
To go beyond quick settings, Neoverb offers extended control parameters for detailed manual adjustments. The Input Smoothing function stabilizes dynamics and softens incoming transients to avoid artifacts in the reverb tail. A modulation section then allows influencing the tail to gain movement, perceived width, and a sense of air.
Comfortable Workflow
The interface is scalable (resizable) to adapt to both a laptop screen and a mixing station. With over 100 presets organized by categories, you have a solid base to start quickly, then refine according to tempo, arrangement, and the space allocated to reverb in the stereo field.

Questions frequently asked
Is the iZotope Neoverb Education license available to students?
This EDU license is reserved for eligible users, including students, teachers, institutions, or individuals in audio training. Proof of eligibility may be required before purchase or activation.
Does Neoverb work on Windows and Mac?
Compatibility is announced from Windows 8 64-bit and Mac OS X 10.13.6 onwards. An internet connection is required for this downloadable software.
Can multiple types of reverb be mixed within a single preset?
The Blend Pad allows combining up to 3 reverb algorithms within the same patch.
How does the Reverb Assistant help with mixing?
The Reverb Assistant guides the setup in 4 steps, with an approach focused on the source and mixing intent. It provides a starting point to place a vocal, snare drum, or guitar in the space. Parameters can then be refined according to the arrangement.
