This 7-string electric guitar is particularly aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists who want to explore low tunings without sacrificing playing comfort. It excels in modern metal, djent, metalcore, hardcore, but remains relevant for heavy rock and fast lead lines thanks to its 24 jumbo frets and compound radius.

Sound

The HH configuration (two Jackson High-Output 7-String humbuckers) delivers a high output level, with tight lows, sharp attacks, and plenty of saturation headroom for heavy riffs. The 3-position selector switch allows quick shifts from a biting bridge pickup to a warmer neck tone, with a useful middle position to thicken rhythm parts. The poplar body maintains a balanced and responsive response, while the long scale enhances note clarity in low tunings. The HT7 fixed string-through-body bridge promotes tuning stability and solid sustain, perfect for tight palm mutes and precise leads.

Recommended compatible accessories

The JS22Q-7 DKA HT comes stock with .009-.054 strings (7-string set). If you keep the same gauge, an equivalent 7-string set will be perfectly suitable. Jackson also offers an optional gig bag (reference 299-1513-106), convenient for transport and storage.
