In the Line of Marty Friedman Signatures at Jackson
Born from the ongoing collaboration between Jackson and Marty Friedman, the Pro Series MF-1 follows the tradition of modern single-cut lead-oriented guitars. Introduced in 2021, it combines the Monarkh format with a cracked "Purple Mirror" mirror top and refined binding, for a stage identity as striking as its heritage in melodic metal.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, the MF-1 excels in metal, hard rock, shred, and fusion. The 24.75" scale facilitates expressive bends, while the ebony fingerboard with a 12" radius offers chord comfort and solo precision. Its stable construction (graphite reinforcement) makes it a reliable tool on stage and in the studio.
Sound
The pair of EMG MF Signature passive humbuckers delivers tight lows, singing mids, and silky highs, perfect for sustained leads and dense rhythms. The 2 volume / 2 tone controls allow fine-tuning of each pickup and exploring nuanced textures via the 3-position selector. The mahogany glued body and neck enhance projection and sustain, while the adjustable TOM bridge and locking tuners ensure exemplary tuning stability.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To protect and transport the guitar, choose the Jackson Monarkh 6/7 Gator Hardshell case ref. 299-6665-100 or the Jackson Soloist/Dinky gig bag ref. 299-1512-106. A 10-46 string set and a quality 6.35 mm jack cable perfectly complete the setup, along with a standard 2-point strap.
