A "mini Audiohub" designed to play anywhere
The Laney AH-FREESTYLE fits the Audiohub spirit: a multi-input amp designed to accommodate "a bit of everything," like a small PA system with a simple, musician-friendly approach. Its portable format and battery power option make it a particularly practical solution whenever you need to set up quickly, without a mixer or PA, while keeping useful settings to highlight yourself.
Who is the Laney AH-FREESTYLE for?
The AH-FREESTYLE is ideal for beginner to advanced musicians looking for a "Swiss army knife" amp: busking, events, music lessons, acoustic rehearsals, small indoor gigs, or jam sessions around a campfire. It suits singers (mic input), keyboardists, acoustic guitarists, guitarists/bassists (Hi-Z input), and any situation where you need to mix multiple sources quickly.
Three channels, digital delay, and essential controls
The AH-FREESTYLE offers 3 channels with independent level control to balance your sources. The built-in digital delay (Time, Feedback, Level) adds instant ambiance and can be activated per channel via an FX send switch. To adapt the amp to the room or context, Laney opted for straightforward ergonomics: 2-band EQ (Bass/Treble) and Master Volume to control the overall output. For convenience, there is an auxiliary input for playing backing tracks, and a headphone/line out for silent practice or sending the signal to another system.
Clear and direct sound, tailored for versatility
With its transistor architecture and custom 8-inch speaker, the AH-FREESTYLE prioritizes a clear and balanced sound: a clean base for vocals, keyboards, and line sources, and a dynamic response suitable for guitar or bass at reasonable volume. The Hi-Z instrument channel (with extra gain) helps maintain attack and definition on passive pickups. Add a touch of delay, and you get a bigger presence without complicating your setup, especially useful for solo or duo performances.
