A modern vision of the tube microphone, designed for today's studios

With the Eden LT-386, Lauten Audio offers a tube microphone that combines a classic approach (smooth lows and mids, sense of depth) with a modern production-oriented design (quick control of problematic frequencies, adaptation to source and mix). Within the brand's lineup, the Eden stands out with a very wide sonic palette achieved directly on the microphone body: the Multi-voicing technology is specific to this model and, even though the positions have familiar names (Forward, Neutral, Gentle), their calibration is optimized for the Eden.

Who is it for and what recording uses?

The Lauten Audio Eden LT-386 targets sound engineers, producers, and demanding home studio users who want a tube microphone capable of covering a wide range of situations without multiplying references. It excels on vocals (lead, backing, spoken), acoustic instruments (guitar, strings, room), and remains very relevant on sources with transients and low energy in the high frequencies, where an overly bright microphone can quickly become fatiguing.

Its advantage also lies in workflow: rather than correcting after the fact, the Eden allows you to choose the right color and clean up the low end at the source. In sessions, this translates to less corrective EQ, better clarity in the low spectrum, and takes that fit more easily into a dense mix.

Key features: low-end shaping, voicings, and polar patterns serving the mix

Two "Shaper" high-pass filters calibrated for musical results

The Eden integrates two stages of high-pass filtering in addition to a default no-filter position. The Kick-Shaper targets a very steep low-frequency cut to reduce "boomy" frequencies that unnecessarily swell the low end, useful on kick drum but also on toms, guitars, or vocals depending on the recording. The Vocal-Shaper is designed to clean up vocals and restore a more classic and smooth rendering, preserving body without overloading the low spectrum.

Proprietary Multi-voicing technology: three signal paths, three intentions

Lauten Audio's Multi-voicing technology is based on three distinct signal paths, directly inside the microphone, to adapt the frequency response without external processing. Gentle provides maximum control of bright or aggressive sources with a vintage-typed warmth; combined with one of the Shaper filters, it can give the impression of using a completely different microphone. Neutral aims for a more consistent response with good sibilance control, halfway between modernity and vintage spirit. Forward opens up the sound for a more airy high end, in the spirit of great tube microphones, with the current touch unique to the brand.

Three polar patterns to adjust proximity, space, and separation

The three selectable patterns cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 allow adapting the capture to the context: isolation and precision in cardioid, naturalness and extended low end in omni, or stereo work and lateral rejection in figure-8. Add to this the semi-permanent attached suspension, and you get a microphone designed to be installed quickly, stably, and used daily in the studio.
