A Companion Designed for the New Generation of DSL Amps
The Marshall DSL series has established itself as a benchmark for covering a wide range of sounds, from dynamic clean tones to modern high-gain, with ergonomics designed for the stage. This 6-way footswitch is designed to integrate naturally with the DSL40CR and DSL100HR models: it puts essential controls at your feet that define these heads and combos, while maintaining simple, immediate, and reliable use.Who Is It For, and In What Usage Contexts?
This footswitch is aimed at guitarists who want to fully exploit the possibilities of a DSL in rehearsal, concert, or home studio settings, without putting the guitar down between parts. It suits both intermediate and advanced musicians: the "one button = one action" logic makes life easier, whether you're playing classic rock, hard rock, punk, modern metal, or need a perfectly locked clean/crunch/lead setup. On a pedalboard, it becomes the amp's command center: a clean switch from Clean to OD2 for a solo, a volume recall via Master 1/2 to change levels without touching the knobs, or activating the effects loop to integrate delay/reverb only on certain sounds.
Features and Ergonomics: Designed for the Stage
The strength of this model lies in its direct switching of the 4 channels (Clean, Crunch, OD1, OD2). You avoid sequential changes and maintain a clear overview of your setup thanks to the LEDs. Additionally, it allows you to either toggle between the two Master volumes or activate/deactivate the effects loop (depending on the assignment available on the amp), convenient for switching from a rhythm level to a solo level, or for inserting/removing your modulation and ambience effects.Another key point: the per-channel memory of settings. Practically, you can keep a stable playing logic: each channel recalls the intended state (for example: loop active on OD1 and OD2, loop inactive on Clean), making transitions more reliable in real conditions. Connection is via a 6.35mm asymmetrical Jack cable (TS) supplied, with a length designed for stage use.
Sound
A footswitch does not add coloration to your signal: it acts as a remote control for the amp. The benefit lies elsewhere: clean and instant channel changes, level management via the Master volumes, and the ability to integrate the effects loop at the right moment. The result: you preserve the Marshall DSL tone as set on the amp, while gaining precision in execution, set dynamics, and playing comfort, especially when chaining verses, choruses, and solos without interruption.Technical specifications

Questions frequently asked
Is this footswitch compatible with the Marshall DSL40CR?
Compatibility is indicated with the Marshall DSL40CR and DSL100HR amps. Connection uses the supplied 5 m 6.35 mm TS jack cable.
Can Clean, Crunch, OD1, and OD2 be selected directly?
The four channels Clean, Crunch, OD1, and OD2 each have a direct switching function. LEDs allow visualization of the selection.
How to use the two Master volumes with this footswitch?
One control can be assigned to switch between Master Volume 1 and Master Volume 2. This function allows recalling a distinct level, notably between rhythm playing and solo.
Can the effects loop be activated by foot?
Depending on the assignment available on the amp, one control allows activating or deactivating the effects loop instead of switching Master 1/2. The settings state can be memorized per channel.
Is an external power supply needed for the 6-way Marshall footswitch?
Power is provided by the amp, without an external power supply unit. The enclosure measures 400 x 110 x 50 mm and weighs 1.4 kg.
