A modern approach to Baroque fingering, designed for precision

The Flauto Rondo follows the tradition of recorders with Baroque fingering, the most widespread standard today for tackling a wide repertoire and playing with controlled intonation. What sets this model apart is a clear intention to go further in precision : the presence of double holes (and, depending on the sizes, equivalent solutions via double keys) aims to secure the playing of semitones and limit the compromises often encountered on larger recorders. This design logic responds to a clear expectation: to offer an instrument that remains faithful to the player's reflexes while improving the reliability of chromatic notes.

For which musicians and styles?

This recorder is announced as developed for advanced level musicians. It will suit those who already have good control of tone production, articulation, and intonation, and who seek an instrument capable of supporting demanding work (fast passages, chromatic runs, fine tuning). The Baroque fingering allows for playing both Baroque repertoire and contemporary pieces or arrangements (chamber music, recorder ensembles), whenever precision in accidentals and register homogeneity are crucial.

Sound and design

Natural pearwood is a material appreciated for its balance: it promotes a warm sound with a generally pleasant response to shape (dynamics, attacks, phrasing). The main highlighted advantage here lies in the optimization of chromatic playing: the double holes for F/F# and G/G# stabilize sensitive fingerings and improve tuning coherence between natural and altered notes. On larger recorders, ergonomics are essential: the new key system is presented as robust and especially designed to help musicians with smaller hands maintain a comfortable position without having to "relearn" the gesture. The fingering remains the same as with double holes, which limits the disruption of familiar patterns and makes the transition more natural.

Recommended compatible accessories

To preserve playing stability and the longevity of a wooden recorder, regular maintenance (careful drying after playing, appropriate cleaning) is recommended. Since accessories depend heavily on the exact format of the instrument (size, diameter, presence of keys), it is preferable to choose solutions specifically sized for the model.
