MOOER and the GTRS DNA: when guitar meets technology
Founded in Shenzhen, MOOER became known as early as 2010 for mini-format effect pedals, with an approach focused on innovation and integrating technologies useful to musicians. The GTRS M800 fits this philosophy: a classic-looking electric guitar enriched with a digital ecosystem (processor, Bluetooth, app) to quickly switch sounds, practice silently with headphones, or explore modern textures without multiplying devices.
Who is the GTRS M800 for, and in which styles does it excel?
The GTRS M800 targets beginner to intermediate guitarists who want a versatile guitar, easy to set up, and above all rich in sounds without immediately investing in a full pedalboard. Thanks to the humbucker duo and onboard presets/effects, it is particularly suitable for rock, pop, gritty blues, hard rock styles and home use (practice, quick recording, loop creation, and accompaniment).
The sound
Its alder body provides a well-balanced tone: present lows, clear mids, and sufficiently open highs to maintain definition in saturated sounds. The two GTRS HMT-1N/B humbuckers deliver a dense and quiet output (ideal for high gain), with a 3-position selector to switch from a warm neck tone to a sharper bridge attack, or combine both for full rhythms. The GTRS core adds a very modern dimension: 16 simulations, 128 effects, 40 drum machines, 10 metronomes, and an 80-second looper, all accessible via the "Super Knob" button (main output, preset control) and the app, allowing you to build coherent and recallable sounds with a single gesture.
Recommended compatible accessories
To respect the original specs, prioritize an electric string set 09-42 when replacing strings (indicated gauge). The supplied USB-C cable allows battery charging and use with the GTRS ecosystem.
