The GTRS S800 Series: When MOOER Marries Traditional Guitar and Integrated Technology
Born from MOOER's expertise in guitar effects, the GTRS range was designed to integrate a true effects ecosystem at the heart of an electric guitar, without sacrificing the ergonomics of a "classic" instrument. Developed in collaboration with designer Kenji Wong, the S800 represents the premium entry point of the series, while a P800 variant with alder body and different pickup kit exists for those seeking an alternative luthiery base.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
The MOOER GTRS S800 targets the beginner to intermediate guitarist who wants a versatile and inspiring instrument, as well as the experienced musician looking for an all-in-one solution to play at home, record demos, or travel light to rehearsals. Thanks to its S-S-H configuration and internal processor, it excels in pop, rock, funk, blues, and modern metal, with the ability to quickly switch sounds via presets.
Sound
The basswood body offers a balanced character, with present mids and a homogeneous response, ideal for a guitar designed for versatility. The torrefied maple neck provides a feeling of stability and a clear attack, while the rosewood fingerboard slightly rounds the treble and promotes a comfortable touch. The S-S-H (Alnico V) configuration allows switching from precise and dynamic clean tones on the single coils to a denser and more powerful range on the humbucker, all complemented by the onboard electronics: simulations, effects, drum machines, metronomes, and looper, to build a complete sound without a pedalboard.
